Since my first Creators’ Club project I started collaborating with a group of musician friends to write, record, and eventually perform original music. Here are demo recordings of two new songs I wrote for the group. All recorded parts are performed by me except where noted. They’re still works in progress and are missing a few lead/solo instrumental parts, but are mostly complete in terms of structure.
Locust Sun
This song is written from the perspective of respawning (but perhaps not so mindless) NPCs trapped inside an imaginary video game. It was mostly an exercise in writing a song using the phrygian dominant mode. Vocals are courtesy of my friend and bandmate Katie B.
Beagle Channel
This is a song about remembering things distant and/or past. The title comes from the epic-looking but adorably-named glacial waterway that bisects the Tierra del Fuego.
(Bonus) Cosmic Sage
I’m learning that music and audio are endlessly tweakable. I recently re-recorded and remixed my original Creators’ Club project, so here’s a more polished version of that older song with a slightly different title. Lead vocals, lead guitar, and bass by Katie B.
